From Practicing Catholics to Apostles on Mission is a program designed for young adults to encounter Jesus in a more intentional way and learn to be greater leaders within the Church.

 
 

Apostles on Mission is comprised of ten online sessions that provide theological and pastoral training to adult Catholics. These 90-minute online sessions take place once a week on Mondays via Zoom beginning October 5th and ending December 14th. Sessions run from 7:30 PM EDT to 9:00 PM EDT. If your application is approved, the cost of attendance is $40 paid via Eventbrite at the time of registration. Spots are limited to 20 accepted participants.

About the Facilitators

Colleen Campbell.jpg

Colleen Campbell is Coordinator of Formation Programs at the Catholic Apostolate Center. Additionally, she is also a PhD Candidate studying Catechetics and Religious Education at the Catholic University of America. Colleen is a co-author of The Art of Accompaniment: Theological, Spiritual, and Practical Elements of Building a More Relational Church. At the Center, Colleen develops formative materials, opportunities, and programs for Catholics to grow in their faith and vocation, as well as provides intentional formation for participants in the Center's internship program.


Colleen holds a BA in Pastoral Ministry from the University of Dallas and an MA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. She is an alumna of Notre Dame's Echo Program, through which she served as an apprentice catechetical leader in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. Colleen has also served in various lay and catechetical ministry roles in the Diocese of Ft. Worth and the Archdiocese of Washington. She is originally from Greenville, South Carolina.

Tom Carani is a Consultant for the Catholic Apostolate Center. He promotes the Center's programs and initiatives, and he builds new partnerships with dioceses, parishes, campus ministries, and other faith-based organizations. Tom is also a co-author of the Center's work The Art of Accompaniment: Theological, Spiritual, and Practical Elements of Building a More Relational Church.

Tom received a BA in Theology and Religious Studies from The Catholic University of America and an MA in Theology from the University of Notre Dame. He is also an alumnus of Notre Dame's Echo Program. He recently worked as a Director of Evangelization at a parish in the Diocese of Austin before moving to the Kansas City area with his wife and daughter.
